Diagnostics & Repair

Our diagnostic-first approach means we never guess. We plug in, scan your fault codes, and know exactly what's going on before we touch anything. Most issues — overheating, power loss, rough idle, won't start — give off specific codes that point us straight to the problem. We use professional scanning tools for Sea-Doo, Yamaha, and Kawasaki, and run a full mechanical inspection alongside. Compression tests, fuel pressure, cooling system flow — we check everything. You'll get a clear, written estimate before any work starts. No surprises, no upsells. Just an honest answer about what your ski actually needs to get back on the water.

  • Electronic diagnostic scanning
  • Fuel system inspection
  • Cooling system service
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Pump and jet drive inspection
  • Compression testing

Performance Tuning

For riders who want more — more top end, faster hole shot, better response off the line. We build performance packages for everything from stock skis that just need a bump to full race setups. ECU reflashes pull power the factory left locked away. Impeller upgrades and wear ring replacements make a bigger difference than most people expect. We know what combinations work on specific models — an RXP-X 300 tunes differently than a GP1800R HO or an Ultra 310. We've done enough builds to know what actually moves the needle. Tell us how you ride; we'll put together the right package.

  • ECU reflash & tune
  • Impeller upgrades & wear ring replacement
  • Intake grate upgrades
  • Exhaust system upgrades
  • Sponson installation
  • Top speed and hole shot optimization

Engine Rebuilds

When it's time for a full rebuild, we do it right. Whether your engine ran dry, threw a rod, overheated, or just wore out over the years, we pull it completely apart, inspect every component, and put it back together with OEM or upgraded parts depending on what the job calls for. Crank seals, pistons, bearings, supercharger rebuilds — we handle all of it. We see the same failure patterns over and over and know how to address them so they don't come back. Done correctly, a rebuilt engine runs just as strong as new. With the right upgrades, sometimes stronger.

  • Full top and bottom end rebuilds
  • Piston and ring replacement
  • Crank seal and bearing replacement
  • Cylinder bore inspection
  • Supercharger service & rebuild
  • Post-rebuild dyno-style testing

Seasonal Maintenance

Most of the problems we see could have been avoided with proper seasonal care. New York winters are rough — skis that weren't prepped correctly come in every spring with corroded connectors, dead batteries, and cooling systems full of water that froze. Fogging the engine, flushing the cooling system, pulling and storing the battery — it has to be done right. We handle full winterization packages in the fall and spring recommission packages when you're ready to ride. If you're heading out to Jamaica Bay, the Sound, or the Jersey Shore this season, your ski needs to actually be ready.

  • Spring recommission service
  • Full fluid service (oil, coolant, brake)
  • Filter replacement (oil, fuel, air)
  • Spark plug replacement
  • Battery service
  • Winterization & fogging

Hull & Body Repair

Fiberglass cracks don't fix themselves — a compromised hull lets water into the core and turns a small problem into a much bigger one. We repair stress cracks, impact damage, deep gouges, and delamination. Gelcoat work is color-matched so repairs blend in cleanly. We're not slapping body filler on it and calling it done; we deal with the actual damage, fix the structure, and finish the surface properly. Whether it's dock rash, a hard hit on the water, or an older ski that's been through a lot — we've handled all of it.

  • Fiberglass crack repair
  • Gelcoat restoration
  • Dent & damage repair
  • Hull polish & compound
  • Vinyl wrap preparation
  • Lift eye and hardware repair

Jet Pump Service

The jet pump takes more abuse than most people realize. Sand, rocks, and debris get in constantly, and even a small chip on the impeller kills your performance fast. We've seen skis lose 10 mph or more just because the impeller was worn down and nobody noticed. We pull the pump, inspect the impeller, wear ring, drive shaft, and seals, and replace what needs replacing. If you're after a performance upgrade, a stainless steel impeller pitched for your riding style is one of the best value modifications you can make — noticeable improvement in both hole shot and top speed.

  • Impeller inspection & replacement
  • Wear ring replacement
  • Pump bearing service
  • Drive shaft inspection
  • Pump seal replacement
  • Stainless steel impeller upgrades

Frequently
Asked.

How much does jet ski repair cost in New York?

It depends on what's wrong. A diagnostic and minor repair might run a couple hundred dollars. A full engine rebuild is several thousand. We give you a clear, itemized estimate before any work starts — no hidden charges when you pick up.

Do you work on Sea-Doo, Yamaha, and Kawasaki?

Yes. Sea-Doo, Yamaha, and Kawasaki are the three brands we see most often. We know the common failure points on all three and have the scanning tools to diagnose them properly. We also work on older models where parts are still available.

How long does a jet ski repair usually take?

Most repairs take a few days to a week once parts are sourced. Engine rebuilds or larger jobs take longer. We give you a realistic timeline upfront and keep you updated — we don't like making promises we can't keep.

Do I need an appointment to drop off my ski?

A heads-up helps us have the space ready for you. Give us a call at (347) 225-5113 or send us a message through the contact form. Walk-ins are fine too, but calling ahead is always better.

Do you work on older jet ski models?

Depends on parts availability. We can work on most skis from the late 1990s onward. Give us the year, make, and model and we'll tell you exactly what we can do.

Is it worth rebuilding my engine, or should I just buy a new ski?

Honest answer: if it's a newer model in otherwise good condition, a rebuild almost always makes more financial sense than selling and replacing. If it's an older ski with multiple issues, the math sometimes changes. We'll give you our honest take either way.
